FreshBooks CEO Mike McDerment sat down with Bruce Croxon to speak about his company’s long journey before taking on venture capital, stating that “VC’s didn’t really care about customer service, but I did.” Claiming that “money doesn’t solve all problems,” McDerment also argued that “timing is one of the most underrated aspects about fundraising.” FreshBooks has raised $30 million to date.
