After the success of last year’s event, The Entrepreneurship Society is hosting another evening focused on fundraising tips for Toronto-based entrepreneurs.

Hosted alongside the Canadian Venture Capital Association on April 13, Raising Capital at Blakes Cassels Graydon will give entrepreneurs a chance to connect and learn from investors. The event is targeted to entrepreneurs that have raised at least $500,000.

Confirmed investors — who will participate in fireside chats and roundtables — include Neha Khera from 500 Canada, Christian Lassonde from Impression Ventures, and Janet Bannister from Real Ventures.

“The goal is for transformational technology startups who have already raised some seed capital (as a minimum) to learn more about the investor landscape in Canada, gain a better understanding of what investors are looking at each phase of a company’s development, and to interact with other entrepreneurs,” Bill Hennessey, co-founder of The Entrepreneurship Society and president of Qwatro Industrial Chemicals, said during the last edition of the event.

The Entrepreneurship Society is dedicated to helping startup founders bridge the gap between seed and post-seed and series A financing. The organization hosts events featuring notable founders like Wattpad’s Allen Lau, and opportunities for mentorship.
