Cleanify acquires Helpling’s Canadian operations

After reports last week that Berlin-based Helpling would cease operations in Canada, Cleanify has stepped up to the task and taken over Helpling’s cleaner and customer base.

Cleanify, which launched in Vancouver in 2011 and already operates in several Canadian cities, will use the acquisition to extend market leadership in Canada. While Helpling focused on connecting users with cleaners in the area that have passed rigorous selection processes, Cleanify is more diverse in that users can connect with independent professionals, small and medium-sized businesses, and franchises.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Helpling’s cleaners and customers onto our platform. We’ve taken every measure to ensure they make a seamless transition to Cleanify,” said Justin Potter, co-founder and CEO of Cleanify. “Cleanify will ensure that Helpling’s independent cleaners’ businesses are easily discovered, supported, and positioned for rapid growth.”
