BNN’s The Disruptors is once again making an open call to startups across Canada for its #DisruptorsPitch Contest, which will invite one startup to the show to pitch to a national audience.

Between Thursday, April 13 at 8 a.m. ET and Monday, April 17 at 8 p.m. ET, founders have the opportunity to tell The Disruptors, in a 140-character tweet, why their startup is disruptive. The contest is open to Canadian startups in seed and pre-Series A stages, with a product that’s currently available. Qualified companies will be announced on April 20th’s show.

The winner will get the chance to pitch their startup on The Disruptors, with the potential to be selected as the top startup of the season that pitches to co-host Bruce Croxon’s Round 13 capital.

Last season, Toronto-based HiMama was chosen as the winner of the pitch contest. The startup provides a communication platform daycare providers and parents, and allows providers to record a child’s activities and progress, while parents get the opportunity to stay in touch via SMS.

More details on the contest are available on BNN’s website.
